Housing Manager in Cleveland, Ohio

Position: Housing Manager

Supervisor: Director of Program Services

General Responsibilities: The Housing Manager collaborates with other Homeless service providers to best serve homeless families. The Housing Manager provides direct oversight and guidance to the housing staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Ensures that staff is knowledgeable about programs.

Participates in community/public relations activities as needed; participates in professional or program-related networks, etc., as appropriate.

Responsible for the administration and supervision of the Housing program.

Supervises Family Support Specialists and student interns.
2. Responsible for maintaining a caseload which includes preforming home visits, developing case plans and maintaining case records. Works with other service providers to coordinate additional resources and services

3. Ensures compliance with all funding sources.

Maintains program records and files; compiles data and prepares reports as needed to comply with funding requirements, and collects year end data.
4. Defines policies and guidelines to improve services to clients and recommends policy changes.

Collect, compile and enter client and service data into data base in an accurate and timely manner.

Develops and evaluates department policies, procedures, goals and outcome measures.
5. Works with the Director of Program Services to conduct program evaluations periodically.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Other Functions: Attends staff and departmental meetings.

Contributes to departmental and organizational decision-making through active participation in the process.

Works effectively and positively with co-workers and volunteers.

Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications or Skills Required: Bachelor's degree with a major in social work, health education, psychology, sociology, or equivalent work experience with two or more years related work experience.

Strong organizational, oral, written and interpersonal communication skills; the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community; is required. The ability to work independently and share responsibility in an alternative service system.

Must have and maintain valid Driver's License; Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment

Qualifications or Skills Preferred: Graduate Degree and four or more years' experience providing services.

Well-organized, self-directed, highly motivated with interest and experiences in social work.

Training/experiences in Housing issues would be ideal.
