2br - Napa/Sonoma Wine Country Vacation Rental (Creekside, canyon setting; secluded for sale in Cleveland, Ohio

$229

Kenwood Cottage is located in the heart of Sonoma's wine country and the charming town of Kenwood. This two bedroom home (over 1300 square feet of living space) is walking or biking distance to Sugarloaf Ridge State Park and major wineries.
This idyllic cottage rests on a year round creek in the historic Adobe Canyon and is situated in a bucolic setting. With private gardens, luminous canyon scenery and wildlife spilling through the cottage windows, you can walk to hiking trails that lead over bridges and waterfalls to spectacular vistas. Picnic at Sugarloaf Ridge or hike to bald mountain with 360 degree views of Northern California and the Golden Gate bridge. Spend an evening at the Robert Ferguson Observatory at Sugarloaf Park stargazing and learning about current astronomical events.
This 'French Country' cottage is artfully appointed with many of the amenities of a five-star resort. There is a spa/hot tub only a few steps from the master suite overlooking the year round creek, with exquisite views of the stars, mountains and the majestic trees that surround this private oasis. Unlike most other properties listed in Kenwood and the surrounding areas, this is not a "tract home," it is totally unique and all by itself. Privacy and seclusion in the canyon setting exemplify the experience. Compare this to the other properties you may be considering that are often located in residential neighborhoods.
Sip our bottle of complimentary wine while you take a dip in the hot tub under starry nights or have your breakfast on one of the three outdoor tables thoughtfully placed around the cottage. An outdoor grill (brand new Weber gas grill!) and full kitchen is ready for your culinary artistry.
Numerous premiere wineries in the region all within several miles include: Chateau St. Jean, Landmark, Arrowood, Mayo, Ledson, Kenwood, Kunde, Imagery, Benziger, Valley of the Moon, Blackstone, Moon Mountain, St. Francis, Eric Ross, and Ty Canton. Check out Mayo Reserve Tasting room where food and wine pairings are taken to a whole new level - this is one of the "Best Kept Secrets" in Sonoma/Kenwood and is only 5 min from the Kenwood Cottage.
Not familiar with Kenwood? Look what the Wine Spectator just wrote in their June 15, 2008 addition about the area, "There are beautiful wine roads all over the world, rambling through Tuscany and Provence, or along the Rhine in Germany's Rheingau. But you needn't cross the ocean to fine some. The route, coming into Kenwood as you drive north through Sonoma Valley, the mountains ribbed with hillside vineyards, is in the same league."
Experience the much more laid back atmosphere of Sonoma vs Napa valley where it is not uncommon to have the wine maker pouring his wines, the staff more friendly and passionate and often where there is no tasting fee.
While there are plenty of wineries to choose from in Sonoma Valley, should you decide to experience more of what the wine country has to offer, the Kenwood Cottage is centrally located. Driving times to other famous wine regions from the Kenwood Cottage: Napa valley 40 minutes Carneros Region 20 min Calistoga 30 min Russian River 25 min Healdsburg / Dry Creek Valley 35 min.
A host of fine restaurants are all within 10 min from the cottage ranging from local Tapas to gourmet French and Italian along with fine California cuisine.
What have others said about their stays at the Kenwood Cottage? Here are some excerpts from our guest book (with more detailed reviews on our website):
We had a wonderful time for our annual visit to Sonoma and Napa and the lavender festival at Matanzas Creek winery (only 15 min away). We hung out on the deck one night and really enjoyed the spaciousness and privacy. We took long walks each morning, one up the hill to Sugar Loaf State Park and once down to Landmark Winery.
. . . Silence, nature and a well-maintained cottage made our honeymoon special. I'm sure I'll come back in the upcoming years to celebrate anniversaries. We could not have picked a better place for our honeymoon.
. . . We loved the privacy of the cottage and the sound of the creek was so relaxing. We will definitely return to the Kenwood Cottage.
. . . What a wonderful way to getaway from our busy lives and spend some much needed R & R and "alone time" together. We arrived here tired, and left feeling rejuvenated and peaceful. Riding bikes to the local vineyards was our highlight and relaxing in the hot tub soothed our sore muscles. We had some of the best sleep we have gotten in the past 6 months.
. . . The atmosphere here is serene and loving. I was relaxed as soon as we pulled into the driveway.
. . . Running the Adobe Canyon Road was a million miles away from the busy streets.
