Meet Xander

Introducing Xander!!

This handsome guy ended up on the euthanasia list at a local shelter after his owners surrendered him. Nothing in his notes indicate why they did that, but he struggled in the shelter environment after having his world turned upside down. He was always on edge looking for his 'family' and trying to escape the kennel to go find them. Poor guy was heartbroken.

Thankfully a foster stepped up to save his life and now he is doing great. He is the ultimate cuddle bug. If he had it his way he would always be next to his person or in their lap. If you've never had the love of a heeler before you are missing out. They are as loyal as they come.

Xander is pretty high energy, but knows how to chill out when in the house. He is able to jump very high and has been known to jump over a fence or two. He is potty

trained and leash trained and knows how to goodboy sit. He has had no issue with other dogs big or small. He likes them all. He'd do great in a home with a friendly playmate, because he is a friendly guy himself.

We estimate that Xander is 1yr old and weighs 39pounds. He is the perfect medium size pup.

Xander deserves a family that will never give up on him and we can't wait to find him just that! He is being fostered in Houston, Texas but is available for transport/adoption many places across the country.
